Sister Candy

I started djing in 2005, after many years of collecting lounge, funk and jazz music. Sister Candy was a nickname someone gave me, and it tells a lot about the music i play. Alongside djing i have done a lot of graphic, website and pr work for many djs, artists and labels in Romania.
After some time of taking it as just a hobby, i got the chance to host 2 weekly radio shows online for Sk Radio in Canada and Radio Trance Romania. Things have become serious ever since then. I have played at major music festivals all over the country, such as House Parade [Tm], Electrees [Iasi], Freedom Of Music Fest [Cj] and Urban Blast [Buc]. I have had the utmost pleasure of playing alongside many of the big romanian djs in my country along the years.
I moved to Bucharest in 2007, and in a short time other collaborations appeared. I’ve been active as an assistant director for music videos, to Rocca @ Freespace Films; a webmaster/designer for rock band Firma, and in late 2008, i’ve finally been signed as a dj to Clubbing Events Agency.

I am currently working on improving my act, learning more and more, and trying to produce my first album, a mix of lounge, dnb and brazil influenced songs. The rest is what my hard work will bring.
